Direct Aid Program
The Direct Aid Program (DAP) is a small grants program funded from Australia's aid budget. It is a flexible arrangement designed to assist local communities in developing countries on projects that reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development.
The DAP sits alongside Australia's longer-term country and multilateral development strategies and with its wide geographical reach plays an important role in supporting local community efforts towards poverty reduction across the globe.
The High Commission accepts project proposals from all of its countries of accreditation: Benin, Cameroon, Gabon, The Gambia, Niger and Nigeria.
All DAP applications must be submitted through our online grants management system SmartyGrants. The portal operates on a web-based platform and can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection.
Applications are being accepted on an invite basis only with applications typically open in August - October. For further information please email: [email protected]. You can also follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for updates.
